The A3
(Awareness, Alignment and Action)
Leadership Workshop provides
experienced, credentialed facilitators to work the leadership group
through a process that leads to a firm plan of action on one business
problem, opportunity or challenge. The workshop is 2-3 days
depending on the number of leaders involved and the scope of the topic.
The
objectives of an A3 Workshop:
-
To
drive problem solving, consensus building, and deployment planning
for a sales and service leadership team using fact based data.
-
To
enable synergy and collaboration by tapping into the know-how and
creativity of an organizations’ leadership team and subject matter
experts.
-
To
define a clear line-of-sight to ensure the desired business
outcomes.
The
outcomes organizations realize from an A3 Workshop are that participants
will:
-
Gain
understanding and reach consensus on mission critical data.
-
Establish
alignment on the need for strategic or tactical change.
-
Develop
the metrics that will define success.
-
Identify,
evaluate and prioritize potential solutions.
-
Determine
the barriers and enablers to successful execution.
-
Define
and execute an action plan to successfully deploy initiatives that will
have a business impact. Accountability, timelines, milestones and
contingencies are identified.
Strategic planning is a management tool.
It is used for one purpose only: to help an organization focus its
energy, ensure that members of the organization are working toward the
same goals, assess and adjust the organization's direction in response
to a changing environment.
Strategic planning is a disciplined
effort to produce decisions and actions that shape and guide what an
organization is, what it does, and why it does it, with a focus on the
future. (Adapted from Bryson's Strategic Planning in Public and
Nonprofit Organizations)
The
process is about planning because it involves intentionally setting
goals (i.e., choosing a desired future) and developing an approach to
achieving those goals.
Entrepreneurs and business managers are
often so preoccupied with immediate issues that they lose sight of their
ultimate objectives. That's why a business review or preparation of a
strategic plan is a virtual necessity. This may not be a recipe for
success, but without it a business is much more likely to fail. A sound
plan should:
- Serve
as a framework for decisions or for securing support/approval.
- Provide
a basis for more detailed planning.
- Explain
the business to others in order to inform, motivate & involve.
- Assist
benchmarking & performance monitoring.
- Stimulate
change and become building block for next plan.
CRD provides an effective process that
takes one to three days, depending on the number of managers involved,
that allows organization to have a clear, concise target and roadmap for
their organization. Our facilitators use an interactive
facilitated process to draw out ideas, prioritize initiatives and define
executable actions.
Each
organization’s situation is unique, please contact us to discuss the
type of process we can employ for you!
